Flying cars push Airbus Helicopters and Valeo to get closer

Les voitures volantes poussent Airbus Helicopters et Valeo à se rapprocher

In order to develop flying taxi projects, the Airbus Helicopters teams are increasing their exchanges with automotive specialists. An unprecedented industrial convergence.

Funny alliance in the flying car. The Airbus helicopter manufacturer and automotive supplier Valéo have increased the exchanges in recent months concerning the development of this new means of transport. "We had some exciting recent exchanges with Valeo," said Guillaume Faury, Airbus Helicopters chief, on Thursday (November 23rd), during a visit to the group's historic site in Marignane (Bouches-du- Rhône) organized by the Association of Professional Journalists of Aeronautics and Space (AJPAE). Valeo's CEO, Jacques Aschenbroich, came in person to this site where the helicopters are assembled.

The close relationship between aeronautics and the automobile is not new. Aircraft manufacturers and their subcontractors have only had eyes for several years for automotive processes, whereas they have to ensure higher production rates.
